Call recordings allow you to review past calls, which is essential for maintaining quality assurance, meeting industry compliance, and fulfilling legal obligations.
Access Short Term Call Recordings
Recordings are saved in the Call History tab for all calls within the last 90 days.
- Navigate to the Call History tab of your Sonar portal.
- Scroll or filter to find the recording you want to listen to and click the speaker icon on the right side to listen.
Within the call history list, there are two icons on the right side.

Allows you to hear a call recording from start to finish through the Sonar portal. |
Download |
Allows you to download a .wav file so you can listen to the recording on an external platform. Downloading enables you to skip forward and backward to find specific parts of the conversation more easily. |
Call Recording Access Permissions
Office Managers and Call Center Supervisors need to be in My Account to access their personal call recordings. The Call History tab within Manage Organization and Manage Call Center hosts all available recordings.
Basic Users and Call Center Agents
Can listen to their own call recordings.
Call Center Supervisors
Can listen to their own call recordings and those of their call center agents.
Office Managers
Can listen to call recordings from anyone in the organization.

Filter Call History
If you need to search a larger call log, save time by searching for calls within a specific time frame, calls made or taken by a specific user or extension number, a specific department, specific phone numbers, or the call type. Learn more about Call History Filters here.
Access Long-Term Call Recordings in Sonar for a Small Additional Fee
Need to review a past call made within the last 90 days? At an additional fee of $10 per user, you can access short-term call recordings through Sonar within the Call History tab.
Access Long-Term Call Recordings with Sonar Insights
The Sonar Insights platform offers long-term call recordings. You can access recordings for quality assurance, industry compliance, legal obligations, or review.
- Sign in with your net2phone Canada credentials (yourextension@yourdomian).
- From the landing page, click the Call Recording category.
- In the popup menu, refine your call search by selecting a user, call type, duration, date range, or keywords.
- Click Search.
- Listen to the call recording by clicking the Play icon.
