Conference Call from Poly Desk Phones

If you often relay information between two parties, three-way calling can be a valuable tool. It allows all parties to communicate directly, saving time and reducing the risk of miscommunication.

How to Initiate a Conference (3-way) Call

The example below is from a Poly VVX 400 desk phone.

  1. Dial out to one of the parties and wait for an answer.
  2. Once connected, press the More soft key.
  3. Press the Conference (CNFRNC) soft key; this will put the first party on hold while you connect the call to the third party.
  4. Dial out the third party and press the Send soft key.
  5. Once the third party has answered the call, press the Conference (CNFRNC) soft key to join all parties.

To end the call, press the End Call soft key or hang up the handset.

Tips for Managing Your Conference Call

Split the Call
If needed, you can break the three-way call by pressing the Split soft key, allowing you to manage each call separately.

Resume or Start a New Call
If a call is on hold, press the Resume soft key to return to the caller. Alternatively, press New Call to leave the current caller on hold and start a call on a new line.
