Manage Users in the Billing Portal

Billing users can access account invoices, billing email notification updates, and transaction histories. All Billing Portal users have the same permissions

⚠️ Deleting a User Cannot Be Undone

For security, deleting a Billing Portal user cannot be reversed without assistance from net2phone Canada. 

If you attempt to recreate the same user, you'll see an error:
The username already exists. Please use a different username.”

You cannot delete your own Billing Portal user information.

Access the Manage Users Page

To manage users, follow the steps below. 

  1. Log in to the net2phone Billing Portal.
  2. Click on your name in the top right corner (this must be done from the Account Dashboard main page).
  3. Click on Manage Users.

From the Manage Users page, you can add a new user, edit an existing user, or delete a users as needed.

How to Add a New User

To add a new user, navigate to the Manage Users page before following the steps below. 

  1. Click the New User button.
  2. Fill in the required fields:
    1. Username (usually the same as the user's email)
    2. First Name
    3. Last Name
    4. Email
    5. Time Zone (choose from the dropdown menu)
  3. (Optional) Check the box to enable Billing Notifications for this user.
  4. When ready, click the green checkmark () to confirm and save the user.
    Click the red X’ to cancel any changes.

How to Edit an Existing User

To edit existing users, navigate to the Manage Users page before following the steps below. 

  1. Click the pencil icon to edit () on the left of the username. 
  2. Make the necessary changes to the available fields.
  3. When ready, click the green checkmark () to save
    Click the red X’ to cancel any changes.

Enable Billing Notifications

Each user has the ability to enable or disable Billing Notifications for themselves and other Billing Portal users.  

When creating a new user or editing an existing user, mark the checkbox for Receive Billing Notifications in the rightmost column of the user table. 

Billing Notifications via Email 

All users who opt in to receive Billing Portal Notifcations will be sent the same email with updated when:

  • a new transaction is posted (invoices, payments, refunds, and credits),
  • a new Billing Portal user is added, and, 
  • a Billing Portal user is deleted.  
 

How to Delete a User

To delete a user, navigate to the Manage Users page before following the steps below.

For security, deleting a Billing Portal user cannot be reversed. You cannot re-add a Billing Portal user with the same email address; only a member of net2phone Canada can re-add deleted user emails. 

If you attempt to recreate the same user, you'll see an error:
The username already exists. Please use a different username.”

You cannot delete your own Billing Portal user information. 

 
  1. Click on the red trash can symbol () to the right of the user.
  2. In the pop-up notification, click Yes to confirm you intend to delete this user.
