Receiving Calls with Sonar Phone

If you plan to answer incoming calls using your Sonar web phone, make sure notifications are enabled, your answering rules route calls to your “wp” device, and your volume is turned up so you can hear the phone ringing.

Example recieving a call and closing the on-call menu while remaining on the call.

Transfer Calls from Sonar Phone

You can transfer a call to an internal contact or an external number.

Blind vs. Attended Call Transfers

There are two ways to transfer calls:

  1. Blind Transfer: Sends the call straight to the recipient without speaking to them first. Best when no introduction is needed.
  2. Attended Transfer: Lets you speak to the recipient before completing the transfer. Ideal when the call needs context or confirmation.

Attended Transfer is the default. To change your default setting, contact our Support Team at 611 (any net2phone Canada device) or 1-877-498-3772 (option 3).

  1. While on a call, click the Transfer icon.
  2. Choose either:
    1. Contacts to select a contact, or,
    2. Dial Pad to enter an external outbound number.
  3. After entering the number or selecting a contact, click the Call icon.
  4. Choose to perform a Blind (unannounced) or Attended/Assisted (announced) call transfer
  5. Click Complete Transfer before you end the call.
