Fax-to-Email: Convenient Digital Faxing

Fax-to-email lets you send and receive faxes directly from a designated email address. You can add this feature anytime by contacting the net2phone Canada Fulfillment Team.

How to Send a Fax with Email 

You must have fax-to-email configured with a designated email address before you can send an email fax. 

Email Fax Requirements 

  • You can only send a fax to 1 recipient at a time.
  • Faxes must be sent from the email address setup in the fax account
  • Format : 12223334444@fax.net2phone.com
  • The recipient will get fax pages for both the sender’s email body and the attachment
  • Attachment should be in PDF or word DOC formats.
  • You may experience issues sending or receiving faxes more than 20 pages in length.
 

Fax Receiptient Formatting: Adding at 1

To format the fax receipt's address, start with a 1, followed by the 10-digit fax number (including area code), then add “@fax.net2phone.com" to complete the email address.

To: 16135551821@fax.net2phone.com

From: your designated fax email 
From: support_fax@companyorg.com


To send a fax: 

  1. Compose a new email from your designated fax email address.
  2. In the "To" field, enter 1 followed by the 10-digit fax number and @fax.net2phone.com (e.g., 16135551821@fax.net2phone.com).
  3. Attach the document you wish to fax in PDF format.
  4. Send the email.
  5. Wait for a confirmation email of the fax's success.

Once you have sent your fax, you will receive an email confirming whether the fax was successful.

Receiving a Fax 

When receiving faxes, emails will always come from "fax@net2phone.com". You can find faxes in your designated email address mailbox. Faxes are in PDF format. 

Troubleshooting Fax 

First, check your spam folder for emails from fax@net2phone.com. If the email isn’t in spam, ensure your email administrator whitelists fax@net2phone.com. 

  • Ensure the attached document is in the correct format.
  • Verify that the recipient's fax number is accurate.
  • Confirming that the user's email service allows outbound emails to the @fax.net2phone.com domain.
